The Siberian Husky is a beautiful and captivating breed. I have been capitivated by their beauty and spirit long before I owned my first one. From the very first time I stepped into the show ring, I was hooked and have been actively showing and breeding my own top winning AKC registered Siberian Huskies for well over 20 years. I am an active member of the Siberian Husky Club of America and the Siberian Husky Club of the Twin Cities, Inc. and abide by the code of ethics set forth by those clubs. As an AKC Breeder of Merit, my goal is to produce and show quality Siberian Huskies that conform to the AKC standard in health, temperament and structure; preserving and improving them as the true working dog that they are. This includes performing the proper health clearances (hips and eyes) to help ensure the future of the breed.
The purpose of this website is to showcase my dogs and their accomplishments. These are not only show dogs but much loved and valued members of my family. Showing them and participating in many dog-related activities is a hobby that I (and the dogs) love and enjoy. I do not support puppy mills, only responsible dog enthusiasts with the same set of standards as myself.
I invite you to make yourself at home and meet the Trepak gang. Enjoy your visit!
Trepak Siberians is nestled on 10 acres in the beautiful St. Croix River valley region of North Western Wisconsin, yet just over an hour’s drive from the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.
What a year this has been. Story and Hula produced a litter of 3 puppies of which I kept a lovely black and white boy that I named Trepak N'Sumac's Zorro The Legend. Since that time, Zorro has finished his AKC Championship in such a hurry that I haven't even had a chance to catch my breath.
The last Champion completion I wrote about was Raven (who finished in April of 2016). Since then, she has become a mother giving birth to 5 beautiful girls. The girl I kept is named Trepak N'Sumac's Ororo Munroe (Storm) and has already begun her show career.
Jeep and Drake have also produced a lovely litter of 3 boys of which have been dubbed Trepak's Like a Renegade (Renny), Trepak's Rubicon (Rubin, who is co-owned with Jeff and Tric Ancalm), and Trepak's C-J Seven (CJ), Yes, they are all Jeeps! These babies will be 6 months old this month and I really look forward to showing them.
I AM hoping to get this website updated with new photos of these exciting youngsters in addition to Yuki and Zorro.
Raven finishes with a flourish!
On Sunday the Siberian Husky Club of the Twin Cities Specialty, Raven achieves her AKC Championship by going Winner's Bitch and Best of Winner's under judge Eric Ringle for her second 5 Point major! Story also had a fun weekend by taking Best in Veteran Sweepstakes under respected Collie Breeder Amy Ross.
At the the Siberian Husky Club of Greater Detroit Specialty on Saturday, Raven is awarded Reserve Winner's Bitch under respected breeder judge Jan Sigler. On Sunday, Raven kicked it up a notch and was awarded Winner's Bitch for an exciting 5 point major under yet another respected breeder judge Teri Sigler. vdbitInnerTrepak's X-Factor at Sumac) is awarded WB/BOW AND Best of Opposite Sex at the Land O'Lakes dog show under judge Philip Freilich. Raven is another one of the up and comming stars who doesn't yet have her own page. I've got some work to do on my website to incorporate some of these nice young dogs making an impression in the ring!

At the St. Croix Valley shows in Lake Elmo, MN Yuki is awarded his fourth Major under judge Christie Martinez. All this time I was thinking he had 11 points (see my update in May) going into this show which meant he needed one point to finish his Championship however after I reviewed his Point Progression on the AKC Website, he actually had 12 points (one of the Major wins he was awarded was a 4 point major, not a 3 point major) which means he is now an AKC Champion at the ripe old age of 13 months. What a fun ride.
At Last! After taking some time off for motherhood, Vesper finally picked up that last single point to finish her AKC Championship by going WB/BOW under judge Mrs. Fay Dorval Houpt. Way to go Vesper!
Seven shows in the month of May and Yuki (Trepak N'Sumac's Yuki San) now has 11 points including 3 back-to-back-to-back majors. In two of three shows in Jefferson Wisconsin, he was awarded WD and WD/BOW under judges Houston Clark and James Frederickson respectively. At the Indianhead Kennel club shows he is awarded back-to-back 3 point majors by going WD/BOW and Best of Breed followed by WD under judges Mrs. Ruth Zimmerman and Carl Liepman. On Saturday at the St. Peter shows he was awarded WD/BOW under Samoyed breeder judge Larry Makai. Yuki still doesn't have his own website page with pictures. Pretty soon he's going to start imitating Rodney Dangerfield by saying "I don't get no respect" - but I'm working on it!
A thrilling win at the Siberian Husky Club of the Twin Cities Ruby (40th) Specialty. GCH Trepak's Upside Down Under (Drake) is awarded Best In Specialty Show under breeder judge Delbert Thacker. Due to a wrist injury, Drake was beautifully handled by my good friend Sandra Reitsma (Sumac Siberians). On Sunday, Yuki is awarded Reserve Winners Dog under Mr. Edd Bivin for his 3rd Specialty RWD win from the puppy class in his first 6 shows. Trepak N'Sumac's Chione's Cold Year (Yuki's litter sister) made her debut in the ring to take Best of Opposite Sex in the Puppy Sweepstakes (under Mrs. Pat Griffin) on Saturday, then go on to win her 6-9 month class followed by a 2nd place in the 9-12 month class on Sunday. To top it off, Sumac N'Trepak's What's For Dinner? (Salsa) was presented with the Best Breeder's Bitch ribbon in the Breeder's Showcase competition under breeder Judges Mr. George Cook (Siberian Huskies), Mrs. Pat Griffin (Samoyeds) and Mr. David Samuelson (Whippets). What a wonderful weekend!
Yuki (Trepak N'Sumac's Yuki San) is awarded Reserve Winners Dog both days at the back-to-back Siberian Husky Club of Greater Detroit Specialties from the 6-9 month puppy dog class; his very first time in the ring. He is also awarded Best of Opposite Sex in the Puppy Sweepstakes competition on Sunday. Yuki is out of Ch. Topaz Ghost of a Chance and Vesper. He will be getting his own page with pictures very soon! .
